SUMMARY:Fourth Annual Eid Community Potluck
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to the Fourth Annual Eid Community Potluck! \nUMA Capital Center\, Sunday\, March 22\, from 1-3:00 PM \nCapital Area New Mainers Project and the Ā鶹APP (UMA) will partner to host a fourth annual community potluck for Eid al-Fitr. This will be an opportunity for all members of our local community to gather\, share about traditions in Maine\, and show solidarity within Maineā€™s diverse communities. \nEid al-Fitr\, translated as ā€œthe festival of breaking the fast\,ā€ marks the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. This festival is a particularly significant time for the community to get together to share gifts\, cultural foods\, and special treats. \nThe potluck will be in room 152/153 in the newly renovated Capital Center building at 14 Marketplace Dr\, Augusta\, ME. All are welcome to join\, and attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share.* \nThe event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted for Capital Area New Mainers Project\, which works to foster inclusion and thriving integrated communities in central Maine. \n*No pork\, please.
