DESCRIPTION:Join the UMA Libraries and the UMA Office of Student Life in the Farber Forum for a special screening of Temple Grandin\, the award-winning biographical film about Dr. Temple Grandin\, an animal behaviorist\, autism advocate\, and author whose groundbreaking work has transformed livestock handling practices worldwide. \nThis screening is part of the lead-up to Dr. Grandin’s upcoming visit to the UMA campus. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about her life and contributions before hearing from her in person. The film will be shown in Jewett Hall in Augusta\, and in room 124 Eastport Hall in Bangor. \n\nFrom IMDB: Before enrolling in college\, famed animal husbandry expert Temple Grandin (Claire Danes) visits a cattle ranch owned by her aunt Ann (Catherine O’Hara) and demonstrates a brilliance for all things mechanical.
