Ever since its inception in 2002, the Âé¶ąAPP has supported UMA Senior College by providing physical space for classes, the use of its electronic resources, and administrative support. UMA Senior College offers up to 30 non-credit, enrichment courses each semester and has a membership of over 400 people.

In recognition of the support it receives and in celebration of Âé¶ąAPP 60th anniversary, UMA Senior College is welcoming students, faculty, and staff to attend its annual luncheon and meeting on April 16th. The event will be held at the Calumet Club, 334 West River Rd, Augusta, ME. Doors will open at 11:00 AM. UMA Senior College will offer the luncheon for free to a limited number of UMA students, faculty, and staff.

Concert takes place Feb 26th at 6PM in Jewett Hall’s Farber Forum.

This screening is part of the lead-up to Dr. Grandin’s upcoming visit to the UMA campus. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about her life and contributions before hearing from her in person. The film will be shown in Jewett Hall in Augusta, and in room 124 Eastport Hall in Bangor.


From : Before enrolling in college, famed animal husbandry expert Temple Grandin (Claire Danes) visits a cattle ranch owned by her aunt Ann (Catherine O’Hara) and demonstrates a brilliance for all things mechanical. Once classes begin, the autistic Grandin rises to meet the intellectual challenges — though the social ones are a bit more difficult.
