The UMA Saco Center Student Association once again participated in the annual Saco Parade of Lights. Thousands of people line the streets to watch this holiday parade and the students and staff who participated had a great time. Special thanks to Augustus the Moose for helping out and marching!

UMA Saco Participates in Saco’s Festival of Lights

The UMA Saco Center Student Association took part in the annual Festival of Lights Parade in Saco on December 7. Their float was decorated in blue and white lights and was accompanied by Augustus the Moose – the official mascot of UMA. Over 1000 UMA ice scrapers were distributed to parade viewers. This annual parade, which takes place on Main Street, draws thousands of spectators every year.

URock earns “Best Spirit Award” in Rockland’s Festival of Lights Parade

The UMA Rockland Center recently participated along with 31 other floats in Rockland’s Festival of Lights Parade. The URock float featured a lighted holiday “tree of books,” Augustus the Moose, 8 unicyclists and many walking “book readers.” The URock team earned the “Best Spirit Award” as voted by the Rockland Downtown Business Group.
