A Student Art Opening

A child's hand is holding a sharpened yellow pencil with a pink eraser, writing on a large sheet of light-colored paper taped off with blue painter’s tape into triangular sections

Seventh Grade Students from Ashland Invite you to a Student Art Opening on May 29th from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. at the Michael Klahr Center in Augusta.

Educator Cara Merrill has been guiding her 7th grade students through a thoughtful and reflective exploration of Jewish resistance during the Holocaust. Students are learning history—engaging with it, questioning it, and experiencing the feelings and thoughts that arise. They have created an artistic response, and are excited to discuss their work during a community gathering on May 29th at 12:30.

We warmly welcome you to join us in meeting these thoughtful, creative young people.
