Located at the state-of-the-art Hangar 6 in Brunswick, our Aviation Maintenance Technician School offers a dynamic learning environment. With its cutting-edge facilities and proximity to the aviation industry, Hangar 6 provides the ideal setting for hands-on training and real-world experience.
We offer a range of options to suit your educational and career goals. Choose from our certificate, Associate of Applied Science (AAS), or Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) programs.
Please note, the next cohort for the Aviation Maintenance Technician School (C-AMTS) will begin in Fall of 2026.
Flexible Learning Options
We recognize that many of our students are working professionals seeking to advance their careers. Therefore, our program provides flexibility through asynchronous lectures and practical, hands-on training in labs, which are usually held on weekends throughout the semester.
Industry Certification

At UMA, we are committed to providing our students with a quality education. Our curriculum is designed in accordance with the Airmen Certification Standards (ACS), ensuring that you receive a comprehensive understanding of the skills and knowledge required for success as an aviation maintenance technician.
The AMTS certificate program is a 5-semester, 56-credit-hour course that prepares you for FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification exams. This esteemed certification enables you to work on a wide range of aircraft, including general aviation aircraft, airliners, and helicopters.
